Janet Eddy, M.D., is assistant professor in the department and maintains a clinical practice at VCU's Family Physicians at Nelson Clinic. She earned her M.D. at VCU and completed her residency at Riverside Hospital. Her chief interests include medically underserved populations, nationalized health care and international medicine. Since completing her residency, Dr. Eddy has spent nine years providing primary care to the homeless and has, until recently, been a faculty member at Hanover Family Medicine Residency Program. She has a longstanding interest in caring for the underserved.  She is the medical director of Craig Health Center at St. Joseph's Villa, a clinic serving impoverished people in north Richmond, and she volunteers at several local free clinics.  Dr. Eddy has worked with MCV Family Physicians since 1999.
