Daniel Lawrence, MD is an assistant clinical professor at Nelson Clinic. A 1980 graduate of VCU School of Medicine, and 1983 graduate of the VCU/Fairfax Family Medicine Residency, he joined the department  in October 2006 after 23 years in private practice in North Richmond .   With an interest in recruiting medical students to primary care, particularly to underserved areas, he is a preceptor with the  M-1 and M-2 FCM course, and a faculty sponsor of the Ic/RP program.  He serves as the physician liaison with the  office manager at Nelson Family Practice.
